Russian ruble rises 18.27 kopecks to 36.04 per US dollar

MOSCOW, Aug 14 (PRIME) -- The weighted average rate of the Russian ruble with tomorrow settlement increased 18.27 kopecks against the U.S. dollar to 36.0395, the Moscow Exchange said Thursday.

The official rate of the Russian ruble against the euro rose 26.94 kopecks to 48.1416.

The central bank uses the weighted average rate to set the official ruble rate for tomorrow.

The value of the dual-currency basket, comprising U.S. $0.55 and 0.45 euros, stood at 41.4854 rubles.
